Stained Glass Celebration Workshop

Service Description

This 4-hour workshop is a little different from my other 'Christmas' themed workshops this year, giving you the option to create one of the pieces from my most popular classes of 2026 that had sold out, but with a bit of festive cheer thrown in! Taking place at The Gather Community Space in Ennerdale Bridge, we will spend the afternoon exploring the wonderful heritage craft of stained glass with a contemporary twist, to create a completely personal and unique item for yourself or as a special gift. There will be a number of different designs for you to create and take home on the day, using the tiffany copper foiling technique, and this class is suitable for both complete beginners and those who may have tried stained glass before, but would like to create something a little different! Choose from: - A Geometric Mountain tealight holder set in a wooden stand - 2 or 3 winter flower stems - A Robin window hanging (or a bluetit / kingfisher / seagull!) - 2 Festive tree decorations You will have access to a variety of coloured and textured glass to choose from, and a clear pattern to follow, and as class sizes are limited to 6, plenty of 1-2-1 support and opportunity to ask questions if needed. All materials, tools and safety equipment is provided, so all you need to bring is yourself. However, due to the nature of the craft, please can you ensure you are wearing closed shoes (no sandals, crocs or sling-backs) and that long hair is tied back. If you wear reading glasses, it is also advisable to bring these for the close detail work!! As the soldering process does involve lead based products, it is not advisable for pregnant women to attend and children between the ages of 16 & 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. PLEASE NOTE, THIS WORKSHOP WILL ONLY BE TAKING PLACE AT THE GATHER, ENNERDALE BRIDGE ON SUNDAY 29th NOVEMBER The Gather is a wonderful venue, set in beautiful countryside surroundings, at a key point along the Coast-to-coast path. Light refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon, and there is a scrummy cafe offering a range of snacks, great coffee and hot food downstairs until 4pm.
