Service Description
Come and join me at my personal studio here in Keswick, to create one of 4 stunning pieces of stained glass art in a day! Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and let me introduce you to the wonderful world of stained glass in my favourite place, just on the outskirts of Keswick and with gorgeous views down towards Bassenthwaite and beyond. In this session, I will guide you through the basic principles of working with glass, from handling glass safely and choosing which colours and textures will work best, to cutting and shaping it to your pattern before joining it all together using the Tiffany copper foiling technique and solder. Traditional heritage skills but with a contemporary twist! In this day long session, you will get to choose to create and take home: - a potted succulent sculpture from a selection of designs ranging from Aloe Vera style plants through to more complex concentric circular patterns. OR - a beautiful 3 panelled garden feature, framed in a contemporary black powder-coated steel frame OR - an exquisite metal framed lantern, which can be used in your home or garden! OR - a small (A5/A4) landscape themed copper foil window panel. All tools, materials and safety equipment will be provided including pot/frames etc. However, if you are planning on creating a cactus and there is a pot you would like to bring from home, please do let me know! The course price includes light refreshments throughout the day, however lunch is not provided. Kitchen facilities are available should you bring food to warm up, and there are shops localy should you wish to buy something on your way to the studio. Due to the nature of the craft, please can you ensure you are wearing closed shoes (no sandals, crocs or sling-backs) and that long hair is tied back. If you wear reading glasses, it is also advisable to bring these for the close detail work!! As the soldering process does involve lead based products, it is not advisable for pregnant women to attend and children between the ages of 16 & 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Off street car parking is available directly outside of the workshop, and we are also found on the main bus routes from Penrith, Grasmere / Ambleside and a 20 minute walk from the main bus terminal in Keswick town centre.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel, please can you let us know at least 28 days in advance for a full refund, or 3 weeks for a 50% refund. After this time, no refund will be given although you will be able to reschedule to another day if you inform us at least 2 week before your session is due to take place. If for any reason, we as organisers need to cancel a session, we will endeavour to give as much notice as possible and you will be offered the option to reschedule or offered a full refund. Please note that for a full day session, we do require a minimum of 2 people to be booked on. If we do not have enough participants 10 days before your session, we will contact you to discuss options. For a half day session, there is no minimum number required.
