Service Description
OUR MOST POPULAR WORKSHOP OF THE PAST 2 YEARS! A full-day session of our original, best selling half-day flower stem workshop. During this longer session, we will aim to create a beautiful and unique bouquet of approximately 5 everlasting flower stems for you to take away at the end of the day. Perfect for complete beginners, those who have worked with glass before and would like to take on a new project, or those who have attended the half-day session & want to add to their collection! This full-day workshop will introduce you to the process of the tiffany foiling method to create a number of stems as well as giving you the foundation skills to go on to create more pieces in the future should you wish! There will be a number of templated available for you to use for inspiration, and a wide selection of stunning coloured and textured glass for you to choose from. All you need to bring is yourself and an open mind! Starting with an introduction to different types of glass and design, we’ll cover how to handle and work with glass safely. The beauty of creating these items is they can be very free form, and don’t require a restrictive design template to follow. The stems can be inspired your own favourite flowers and by the wide selection of different coloured and textured glass supplied on the day. Once you have decided on your designs, I will then guide you through how to cut and shape each individual piece of glass, wrap them in copper foil and then join them onto the stems, before applying a number of finishing touches such as wire, patina (darkening of the silver solder) or painted detail if it you would like. All tools, materials and safety equipment will be provided. However, due to the nature of the craft, please can you ensure you are wearing closed shoes (no sandals, crocs or sling-backs) and that long hair is tied back. If you wear reading glasses, it is also advisable to bring these for the close detail work!! As the soldering process does involve lead based products, it is not advisable for pregnant women to attend and children between the ages of 16 & 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Light refreshments will be provided throughout the session. However, you will need to bring your own lunch with you. A microwave and kettle is available for you to use.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel, please can you let us know at least 28 days in advance for a full refund, or 3 weeks for a 50% refund. After this time, no refund will be given, although you will be able to reschedule to another day if you inform us at least 2 weeks before your session is due to take place. If for any reason, we as organisers need to cancel a session, we will endeavour to give as much notice as possible, and you will be offered the option to reschedule or offered a full refund. Please note that for a full day session, we do require a minimum of 2 people to be booked in at our Keswick Studio, or 4 at external venues. If we do not have enough participants 7 days before your session, we will contact you to discuss options. For a half-day session, there is no minimum number required.
