Unwind, Create, and Craft Your Own Stained Glass Art - SESSIONS START APRIL 2027 - available to book now with 6-week subscription Whether you are looking to refine your techniques, bring a personal design to life, or enjoy dedicated weekly studio time alongside a friendly community of makers, The Open Studio at North Lakes Stained Glass offers the perfect flexible creative space. Unlike a structured beginner workshop, these sessions are designed around you and your individual projects. You choose what you want to make—from small suncatchers and decorative panels to complex leaded windows—and receive tailored, hands-on guidance every step of the way. How It Works - Mentored Open Studio Format: Work at your own pace. I’ll be on hand throughout every session to offer expert advice, troubleshoot techniques (foiling, leading, soldering, and design scaling), and help you safely bring your ideas to fruition. - Flexible 6 sessions to be used over 8 weeks: You purchase a block of 6 sessions in advance. - Choose Your Slot: Attend either our Tuesday evening or Friday morning session each week. Session Schedule: - Tuesday Evenings: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM - Friday Mornings: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM Venue: North Lakes Stained Glass Studio, Keswick What’s Included & What to Bring: Included: Full access to studio equipment (cutters, grinders, soldering irons, lightboxes, and safety equipment) plus tea, coffee, and guidance. Materials: Basic consumables (foil, solder, flux, lead came, standard class glass and off cuts) - only pay for what you use . Specialty glass, specific lead came widths, and larger supplies can be ordered directly through the studio with a weeks notice, or can be brought from home. Who Is This For? This course is ideal for students who have a basic understanding of glass cutting and safety (or have completed an introductory workshop with us) and want the space, tools, and mentorship to work on personal stained glass projects.
